Introducing the Junior Utah Ballet Summer Intensive

New this year is our Junior Utah Ballet Summer Intensive, designed for 13-14 year old dancers

The University of Utah Ballet Summer Intensive is known for its stellar faculty, mentoring atmosphere, and small class sizes. Most recently this program was only available to students 15 years old and older.

This program is designed with the unique needs of 13-14 year olds in mind. Dancers in this age group often reach a turning point in their dance education. They are ready to learn new repertoire but also need solid, core technique focus. Our program is staffed with teachers professionally trained keenly aware of the training challenges for this age group. With small class sizes, teachers have a vested interest in each dancer’s growth. This is a chance for your dancer to have University quality instructors in a nurturing, yet disciplined environment.  Join us this summer!

Program Highlights:

2 and 4 week sessions available.  Perfect for prepping for another intensive at your home studio or out of state.

Classes taught Monday through Friday with small class sizes to guarantee more personalized instruction and mentoring.

-       Two hours daily technique class
-       One hour Pointe or Traditional Men’s technique
-       Afternoon options include classical or contemporary repertoire

Classical repertoire instruction in ensemble and solo work with a focus on a different ballet each week (Coppelia, Giselle, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty). Contemporary repertoire instruction with original choreography taught by industry-leading choreographers and instructors.
